Q: Can participants use their FSA/HSA/HRA to pay for class expenses? A: It depends
The goal of this webinar is to provide a summary of the recently updated IRS guidance on the use of Tax-Favored Health Accounts (Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Accounts) to pay for physical activity expenses.
You’ll also hear directly from the IRS, SHRM as well as other experts from the healthcare and health & fitness sectors.
Register and learn practical advice for clinicians, employers, community-based health & fitness sites, and exercise professionals about how to use the IRS guidance to help support people with the appropriate medical conditions to move more.

December 1st was World AIDS Day. Check out these great resources to raise awareness in your community:
Being HIV-positive is no different from being HIV-negative when it comes to exercise. Regular physical activity and exercise are part of a healthy lifestyle for everyone, including people with HIV.
World AIDS Day
Every year on December 1, we observe World AIDS Day to show support for people living with HIV/AIDS and work toward our goal of ending stigma and increasing HIV testing. This year’s theme is “World AIDS Day 35: Remember and Commit” — check out HIV.gov for resources to raise awareness in your community. You can share MyHealthFinder materials to encourage people to get tested for HIV and start a conversation with their doctor about testing. Finally, Healthy People 2030 offers resources related to preventing sexually transmitted infections.
Expanded program resources are available to licensed EF and EW Affiliates and active EF instructors
Are you prepping now to kick off 2024 EnhanceFitness classes with Fitness Assessments? Remember to review the Instructor Manual, Section 5-20: “Fitness Scores Needed to Remain Mobile until 90+ Years” to refer to in your goal setting conversations.
“Cost savings in health care expenses and in diminished quality of life would be substantial if we could prevent, or at least delay, older adults’ progression from the independent to the frail and dependent category.”– Senior Fitness Test Manual/Roberta E. Rikli, C.Jessie Jones – 2nd Edition, 2013
